Virtual servers

Virtual dedicated servers are designated if your applications can not work within the restrictions of a classic shared web hosting environment, but do not necessarily need the maximum cpu capacity of a dedicated server. You are no longer bound to the limitations of a classic dedicated server platform.

The FirstServed optimized virtual server (ovs) offers you all the advantages of a dedicated server, but at a lower and more attractive pricing. The virtual dedicated server shares the hardware of the underlying server node with other virtual machines but remains in an isolated and standalone server container.

The FirstServed ovs service offers you a scalable platform. You may start with a simple virtual server and if your application needs it, evolve to a complete optimized virtual server solution that reaches far aboce the limitations of a classic dedicated server hosting.

A FirstServed ovs can be part of the FirstServed Cloud computing platform. If this is the case, the virtual machine will be using the FirstServed VMware cluster and the virtual server can enjoy all the benefits of the advanced VMware platform. FirstServed Cloud computing offers - in contrast with classic virtual servers - availability guarantees that were untill recently only available for dedicated servers.
