Can I get support for my server housing service?

If you are a server housing customer, the FirstServed support staff is only available for making an appointment for access to the datacenter, checking connectivity of your server or modification of firewall rules related to your server.

You may ask FirstServed to verify certain problems on your server, however this will be billed at our normal support hour rate.

What service level guarantees (SLA) are available for a server housing (co-location)?

Server housing or co-location customers can fall back on an excellent service level guarantee. A FirstServed server housing service comes by default with the FirstServed Server Housing Service Level Agreement. This agreement includes a guaranteed power delivery, IP addresses, redundant connectivity and guarantees on the offered network connectivity.

Since you are the owner of the server, and not FirstServed, we offer no guarantee on the hardware. You are responsible for the replacement of faulty components.

What is server housing or server co-location?

Server housing or server co-location is primarily interesting if you would like to have a server - connected to the Internet - but completely independent from your hosting provider.

You are responsible for buying the hardware and providing the management of your server.

FirstServed takes care of the infrastructure for getting your server online: a fast and redundant connection to the Internet, firewall services, IP addresses and included bandwidth per month.
