Cluster environment

If you opt for FirstServed Cloud Computing, you will be using one or more virtual servers who are installed on a performing vSphere cluster.

The usage of a cluster allows us to ensure the availability of your servers even in the unlikely event of hardware failure of the underlying hardware nodes.
At CPU and memory levels there is no need to loose the advantage when comparing with a dedicated server: the cluster environment is entirely scalable and allows to easily extend memory and CPU power resources without downtime.

Easy snapshotting

In addition to the classic FirstServed Active Backup of file data, we offer the ability to create periodic snapshots of your virtual server.
These snapshots allow you to create a server image copy before doing a critical update; this means the disk contents, memory contents and settings of your virtual server will be frozen and copied at that specific moment in time.
If the update would fail, you may quickly restore the snapshot without the need for a complete reinstallation or restore of your server.

Scalable platform

In contrast with a dedicated server, a virtual server on the FirstServed Cloud Computing platform allows you to request additional CPU resources or memory on the fly. No physical intervention is required.
This means you may alter the CPU performance and memory during the most critical phase of your project (typically in the event of high visitor loads, when the application is visited the most) without a server restart.
